We will discuss health and restoration from an Indigenous Naturopathic perspective.
As a Penobscot native, Naturopathic physician and Indigenous birthworker, we will discuss the healing powers of nature including water, soil, and plant medicines throughout the life cycle. Connecting with our ancestral wisdom and guidance allows us the opportunity to remember their healing ways provided by our earth mother. Ancient agreements and instructions established a harmonious, sustainable, and sacred relationship with all of creation. The reclamation of our ancestors' healing ways restores and honors these ancient relations with plants, land, animals, waters, and spirits. As was foretold in ancient prophecies, restoring this Indigenous knowledge has the healing capacity for all life for the seventh generation to come.
