Canceled: 49th Annual Spring Flower Show: “Spring Tapestry”

This is a past event.

In accordance with Mount Holyoke's current response plan for COVID-19, all on-campus events have been canceled through May 6.

The Mount Holyoke College Botanic Garden presents the 2020 Spring Flower Show. Now in its 49th year, this beloved College tradition provides a much needed boost to get through the last lingering days of Winter. Visitors will be delighted by thousands of Spring blooms including vibrant tulips, cheery daffodils, fragrant hyacinths and freesias, and violas. This year's Show also features an original sculpture designed, created and installed by four MHC Art Studio students. As always, admission to the the Show is free and all are welcome.

The show is open daily from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and is free and open to the public.

Hello,
My name is Aleasha and I wanted to know a little more about the cancelation of the flower show. I know the coronavirus is causing a lot of fear around the world, however, this event I treasure every year and I am incredibly disappointed and upset that it is closed. I have some suggestions on how people can still enjoy it since it is such an amazing event.
1.) Posting a virtual version of the flower show (or if that is too high tech, the pictures in general
2.) Not allowing the public but allowing mount Holyoke student and staff to come in (with a persons max of 50)
I hope you consider some of my thoughts with continuing the cancellation of the flower show.
Best,
Aleasha Jay
