About this Event
Three Lynk summer interns in Archives and Special Collections, Eva Jeffers '20, Ellie Norman '20 and Gabrielle Spano '21, co-curated “Mount Holyoke Votes: The History of Student Activism for Voting Rights” now on view in Dwight Hall. This exhibit explores Mount Holyoke student activism for voting rights from the 1890s through the 1960s with personal letters, photographs and printed materials.
The student curators also interviewed the four founding members of the Committee on Civil Rights from the class of 1962 and the co-chair of the Civil Actions Group from the class of 1967, and excerpts from these interviews are included in the display. Join
The student curators will lead a tour of the exhibit and there will be treats. Join Arcives and Special Collections in celebrating the Lynk interns' excellent work.
