Every year since 1999, across borders and time, Trans Day of Remembrance has been commemorated at the end of November to remember and honor all trans, gender diverse, intersex, and non-binary people who've lost their lives during the past year due to anti-transgender violence. Regardless of our gender identity, transphobia affects us all as a violent facet of white supremacy. Where do we go with our pain and trauma?

Chelvanaya Gabriel ‘97 will lead us through remembering and honoring the trans and gender non-conforming individuals who lost their lives to transphobic violence this year. We will come together surrounded by queer and trans students’ art, and have an opportunity to remember and reflect on those we’ve lost and share local resources as well.
