About this Event
Join the DEI Office in an evening with Dr. Perry Zurn as he shares insights and critical reflections into the tremendous archive of trans stories of resistance and histories here at Mount Holyoke College collected in his research for his upcoming book, How We Make Each Other: Trans Existence at the Edges of the University (2025).
The evening will include an hour of facilitated Q&A with DEI staff, and an open period of Q&A with audience members.
More about our guest: Perry Zurn is Visiting Associate Professor of Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Cornell University, as well as Provost Associate Professor of Philosophy at American University. He works primarily in political philosophy, critical theory, and trans studies. He is especially interested in the politics of inquiry and voice, material histories of resistance, poetics, and ecologies. Zurn is the author of How We Make Each Other: Trans Life at the Edge of the University (Jan. 2025) and the co-editor of Trans Philosophy (2024), among other books.
