Sneha Krishnan will be in conversation with Abby Glogower, Research and Instruction Archivist at Mount Holyoke Archives and Special Collections, to discuss her research in the Mount Holyoke archives.

The talk will trace how the practice of institutional “twinning” operates across imaginaries of desire, difference, and civilization in an archive of education where American educational institutions became visible loci for US intervention in the British imperial enterprise. Specifically, Dr. Krishnan will examine the relationship between Women’s Christian College (WCC)'s in Chennai, India and Mount Holyoke College as sister colleges.

Co-Sponsored by: The Five College Women's Studies Research Center, Archives and Special Collections, Critical Race and Political Economy, Geography and Geology, Psychology and Education, Sociology and Anthropology
