In the past summer, our panelists participated in remote research in a wide range of STEM fields, including geo-information science, computer science, and mathematics. Through the research experience, we have learned to apply abstract theories we learned from the classroom to solving concrete problems, enhance our techniques in data processing and interpretation, and adapt to challenges posed by remote collaboration. In our panel, we will share the motivation, process, and results of our research with the audience. We will also talk about how, through the experience, we practiced our skills in data collection and analysis, simulation and visualization, programming, and scientific communication.
