Join us for our Trans Week of Visibility keynote event with transgender advocate and award-winning political strategist Aria Sa’id. Her experiences in community organizing involve founding and serving as Executive Director of Compton’s Transgender Cultural District in San Francisco, CA-- the first legally-recognized transgender district in the world.

She is also founder of Kween Culture Initiative, a social and cultural empowerment project for Black transgender women. Aria Sa’id extends her community care into the realm of public policy, where she has drafted and advocated for the passage of legislation at both local and state levels in California, with some of her most well-known policies involving the protection of sex workers and incarcerated trans people.

In this Trans Week of Visibility event, join us in learning about what it means to organize and move through the optics of visibility to the realm of liberatory action and social change.
