Opening Remarks: Paula Giddings, author of When and Where I Enter: The Impact of Black Women on Race and Sex in America

A panel of alums will reflect on the significance of the historic inauguration of Danielle R. Holley. Panelists will consider how Mount Holyoke shaped their socio-political consciousness and taught them to engage critically with concepts of race, racism and gender-based oppression, and how their time at the College led to a legacy of activism that continues to inspire generations.
