Alexis Nikole Nelson welcomes us on a foraging journey of collecting, identifying, and eating wild food, right from the Mount Holyoke campus! Learn about how these wild edible plants are an environmentally sustainable food choice and how they have been traditionally used. This foraging experience will be outdoors and will require proper footwear (sturdy walking shoes) and clothing for appropriate weather. Portions of the tour may involve hiking gradual inclines and over uneven surfaces.

Registration to attend one of two time slots is required. Please register on Eventbrite.

A cooking demonstration of foraged plants will happen after the final walk.

This event is co-sponsored by The Miller Worley Center for the Environment, Willits-Hallowell Conference Center, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Division of Student Life, Office of Community and Belonging, the Betty Shabazz Cultural Center, and the Botanic Gardens.
