About this Event
Speaker: So Hess ‘22
“Climate doomism” and “climate depression” are new terms emerging in attempts to describe the collective overwhelm that youth feel when thinking about the environmental crises.
Too often, our coping methods like numbness can lead to paralysis, inaction, and passivity --when our collective action is needed more than ever. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to radical imagination practices to push back against climate doomism. They will explore these ideas through ancestral futurisms, storytelling, reflection, and collaborating on a social art project facilitated by So Hess ‘22.
