About this Event
6 Dunlap Place, South Hadley, MA
Experience a mind/body connection.
Join our Yoga, Mindfulness and Neuroscience Gathering to strengthen your neurological pathways for relaxation, stress management, clarity, focus, and mental and physical flexibility and strength in a supportive and welcoming environment.
We will begin with 45-60 minutes of yoga asana (postures) followed by other mindfulness strategies and discussions that will often touch upon neuroscience as it relates to these practices. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for flowing movement and perspiration. These practices will be led and hosted by Kerry Ouimette, trauma informed, E-RYT 200 yoga instructor and Neuroscience and Behavior lab instructor along with Project Collaborator & Facilitator and Neuroscience and Behavior Major, Amelia Rafalo, your student liaison and support for this developing community.
We will be moving up and down off of the floor and using both our upper body and lower body; if you need to move in a different way, please email Kerry at kerry.ouimette@mtholyoke.edu by Saturday, April 19 to ensure your needs are accommodated.
All are welcome.
