Wind down your weekend.
Take a break from your studies.
Recharge for the upcoming academic week.

Yoga Nidra is a wonderful way to rejuvenate yourself by providing relief from sleep issues, anxiety, stress and depression and leaving you with a sense of restoration. All you have to do is lie there and let Kerry guide you to stillness and deep rest for approximately 30 minutes. Comfort is important for Yoga Nidra, so please see "What to wear" and "What to bring."

If you are not sure about participating in any part of the practices being offered, please come and watch/observe. Do as little or as much as you like. Your experience is meant to be relaxing and comfortable. Please arrive on time to minimize disruptions.

What to wear:
Comfortable clothing for gentle movement and perhaps an extra layer for coziness as you move into Yoga Nidra.

What to bring:
A sleeping bag or a blanket (maybe two if you like to be cozier) and an eye pillow or even a dry face cloth to fold and place over your eyes to block out light. We will have yoga mats on hand, but please bring your own if that is your preference.

If you have questions or if you would like more information, please e-mail Kerry Ouimette at ouime22k@mtholyoke.edu

Kerry is a Frances Perkins Scholar. In addition to studying at Mount Holyoke College, Kerry teaches and practices mindfulness strategies to manage daily stress and to work toward life balance. She is a certified yoga instructor with an additional certification in mindful yoga therapy.
