Glascock Poetry Contest

An intercollegiate event since 1924, the Glascock Poetry Contest is the oldest continuously-running poetry contest for undergraduate students in the country. Students are judged by a panel of three distinguished poets.

Sponsored by the Kathryn Irene Glascock Memorial Fund, the Joyce Horner Poetry Prize, the Charles and Rosanna Batchelor Memorial Fund, and the Department of English at Mount Holyoke College

The 2022 Glascock Poetry Contest

The contest will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2. Glascock weekend will feature three main events: a roundtable discussion with our poet-judges, the 99th Glascock Intercollegiate Poetry Contest, and a morning of poetry readings by this year’s judges.
