The mission of STEMPOC is to provide mentorship, professional development, community support, networking opportunities, and accountability for students of color in STEM. STEMPOC does seek to address the issues regarding retention of diverse populations in STEM through a collaborative effort with faculty, staff, administration, and white students. We believe in the bridging the gap and providing cross- cultural dialogues amongst different identities, so inform others about the barriers that people face. We vision that STEMPOC will be a radical group that supports any marginalized identity. STEMPOC will be a family that is open to anyone that is passionate about issues of access and equity.
