Off-Campus Mental Health Support
  • Emergency: If you are experiencing an emergency and are on campus, please call Public Safety and Service directly at 413-538-2304. You may also dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room (Holyoke Medical Center is closest to MHC).
  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call 988 for 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources. (Para Español, marque 988 y presione 2; Options for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, use your preferred relay service or dial 711 then 988)
  • TransLifeLine: Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support phone service run by trans people for our trans and questioning peers. Call them if you need someone trans to talk to, even if you’re not in a crisis or if you’re not sure you’re trans. Call (877) 565-8860; para Español presione 2. 
  • Crisis Text Line: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, text HOME to 741-741.
  • The Trevor Project: This project supports LGBTQ+ folks in crisis. Reach out at 1-866-488-7386 or text "START" to 678678 (web chat also available).
  • The Steve Fund: This fund is dedicated to supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of young people of color. The crisis text line for students of color can be reached by texting "STEVE" to 741741.
