TGNC10 @ MHC is a trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC)-led, student-led project sponsored by Mount Holyoke College (MHC) in commemoration of the 10-year anniversary of MHC’s gender-inclusive admissions policy, which was established as the result of student activism through the "Open Gates" initiative.
The yearlong project brings together students, alums, faculty and staff to celebrate MHC’s progress as an inclusive and supportive space for the TGNC community and recognize the growth still needed for MHC to uplift past, present and future generations of TGNC community members. The project includes community events, archival exhibitions, artistic works and scholarly pursuits that center the voices of TGNC folks both at MHC and in broader global communities.
Check back for new events throughout the year.
These events are sponsored by the Archives and Special Collections, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Office of the President, the Weissman Center for Leadership and the Division of Student Life.
